Crestron Go App

7.31.20

Crestron App is now Crestron Go

AVA Crestron customers (& former Cyber AV customers) have been using the silver Crestron App for the past couple of years. This app disappeared from the app store about 3 weeks ago due to some changes with Apple’s Retina display. Crestron has replaced App with the new Go application on the Apple App Store.

Through the end of August, the Go app will be offered for free! As you know, this is normally a $100 app purchase. We encourage all of our customers to download the new Go app even if you aren’t going to be using it anytime soon.

A quick search for “Crestron” on the app store will reveal the Crestron Go app. On your phone, only one Go app will populate. On your iPad, you will see two. The other is called Crestron Go-Tablet. Download the tablet app for your iPad.

Enter your credentials exactly as they appear in the settings for the previous App. So, don’t get rid of App until you’ve verified you are working with Go. You’ll need that info. One change you will see in the settings is a Room ID. Leave this blank.

Crestron Go will launch with the same graphics and functionality as App. Once you’ve confirmed all is working well, you can use Go in lieu of the previous App. We advise that you not delete App just yet in case there are unknown bugs in the Go app. It’s doubtful, but you never know!

Lastly, this conversion does not affect users of the older Mobile Pro or Mobile Pro G apps. That’s the purple icon. We do recommend all Crestron users update from these older platforms at some point. There is some programming involved but it may be a good time to update your control. Mobile Pro and Mobile Pro G are still supported and no sunset has been established as of yet.

As always, support is only a phone call or mouse click away. We are here to help you in any way we can. Call the office at (901) 373-2444 or email us at info@avartistry.com with any questions or to get help. Thank you for your business and your support!
