What is a home theater? Simply put, it’s a system that provides a level of visual and auditory excitement beyond the ordinary. Whether you have a dedicated media room or a common living area, a quality home theater system delivers excitement for tons of content these days. Movies (including first-run), sports, YouTube content, Netflix/Hulu/Prime, concerts, gaming and more feature amazing soundtracks and picture quality that can’t be fully appreciated on the average tv. Easy to use, an AVA home theater is quality fun for the whole family!
This example is from a designer’s showcase by Cindy McCord in collaboration with Audio Video Artistry. The concept is converting a spare bedroom into a media room and it works exceptionally well. We intentionally made this package with a starting price of $10,000 installed turnkey!
This may be a system on a budget, but make no mistake, it’s true custom and light years ahead of big box store packages. We start with Samsung’s new 85″ Neo QLED TV. This is not base model and features Samsung’s newest processor with micro-LED technology. Sonically, the system rocks using our very own Memphis-made Master Artist soundbar, 10″ subwoofer and a magnificent A/V receiver from Integra. No system is complete without simplified control so we’ve included URC’s radio-frequency controller and Complete Control handheld remote!
Whether it’s Skywalker Ranch’s screening room or your living room, the Trinnov Altitude brings the ultimate performance to the most notable surround systems around the world. Other than using the very best build quality, what sets Trinnov apart is their superlative room correction software. Every room is different and they all bring their share of acoustic challenges. Trinnov has created a unique speaker/room optimization that brings a level of consistency and clarity to large venues, studios, mastering facilities and home theaters like yours.
On a more modest scale, but still in the “mind-blowing” category, we offer the range of receivers and processors from Anthem. Anthem also has a proprietary room correction software aptly named Anthem Room Correction, or ARC. Anthem receivers sound amazing without any help due to their extraordinary quality and no-nonsense design philosophy that eschews useless frills for rock solid performance. Turn on ARC however, and your room comes alive with all the excitement of the best local cinema.
Whether it’s Trinnov, Anthem or any of the other brands we carry, our products are designed to impress even the most discerning of listeners. Audition both today at our Poplar Ave studio.
Picking the perfect size display for your home theater can seem challenging, but Audio Video Artistry makes the process simple. Samsung makes a 98″ QLED TV starting at a very attractive pricepoint. This is a great choice for smaller theaters with just one row of seating, such as a sectional. Being a QLED, it has plenty of light output for living rooms, gamerooms and mancaves.
For larger rooms and home theaters with multiple seating positions, 98″ is going to be too small to provide that true cinematic feel. This is where you want to go with a projector and screen combination. 120″ or more are the sizes we recommend for these rooms. This has more of that “center row” feel of an actual movie theater.
We use blue painters tape on the wall to give you a feel for the size before making a choice. Get it right the first time with Audio Video Artistry!
If you want to replicate the real movie theater experience, you’ll want a BIG screen. Projection screens have gotten a bad rap in the past. “They’re washed out looking” or “I have too much light in my room” are common complaints. Enter the ALR screen, or Ambient Light Rejecting. Despite being duplicated by everybody, the inventor of this technology remains “light” years ahead. The Screen Innovations Black Diamond and Slate material produces stunning images that make any projector look twice as good as it would on a standard projection screen.
