Samsung “The Frame” TV installed above the fireplace in Germantown, TN. The challenge was the fragile stonework. The end result looks like a picture hanging on the wall.
We get it, it’s a TV installation. What’s the big deal? After all, you see signs stapled to telephone poles advertising tv installs. If price is your main factor, then those might be the folks to call. If aesthetics, safety and performance are what’s important, call Audio Video Artistry.
We can install your TV whether we sold it to you or not. But just in case you haven’t ordered that TV yet, remember we sell Samsung TV’s for the same price as online and big box retail!
TV’s are usually in focal points of the home, so you want the presentation to be as clean and low profile as possible. Whether you’re in Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, Eads or beyond, we have the experts to make your TV look its best no matter where you want it placed.
Our costs are congruent with other TV mounting services. Some try to draw you in with low starting rates that quickly escalate in most cases. One service popular on social media says they will install your TV for $69! If it’s 61″ or larger, it jumps to $179. If you want the old TV taken down, add $100. Add $150 if you want the cords concealed in the wall (who doesn’t?). Before you know it, you’re north of $425. And who knows what kind of folks are going to show up to your home?
Best Buy is a little better, starting at $250 to hang your TV. Reading a little closer reveals that hanging it above a fireplace takes you to $380 and they won’t hide the power cord in the wall. None of the prices include mounts.
At Audio Video Artistry, we try to minimize the surprises. Below you will find a simple cost chart that covers all the most common installs. The work is performed by our own technicians who are trained to do the job right and treat your home with care and respect. We are a local small business that has been in business over 26 years and we take great pride in our work. We have solutions for even the most challenging of TV installations and nobody does it better.
Standard Mounting applies to mounting to wall comprised of single-layer unbacked drywall on traditional studs. Wall may be insulated with batt or blown insulation. This is the most common type of wall.
Medium TV (55″ or smaller): $300
Large TV (larger than 55″: $400
POWER CONSIDERATIONS: An electrical outlet should be located where the TV will be mounted. If not, an electrician is not necessary. We offer a UL-approved power link kit that will be run in the same stud bay from the TV location to the bottom of the wall. Power links can also be used above fireplaces, excluding those with solid masonry flues (less common). Price: $160
Note that our pricing INCLUDES wall plates and standard junction boxes. Pricing does NOT include TV mounts. Specialty flush back-boxes for in-wall concealment of surge protectors, external connection boxes and sources are available for an additional cost.
Non-Standard TV mounting applies to walls of brick, wood, stone, stucco, tile and other materials that are not drywall. Drywall over plywood or foam insulated walls would be non-standard. Some walls may not allow cabling to be run within such as concrete or cinder block. TV’s that use proprietary mounts or outboard connectivity boxes would be non-standard. This includes Samsung “The Frame” tv.
